This week we've spotted five VERY different trailers online, sparking emotions ranging from “massive hype” to “very, very skeptical.”
It's no secret that we at S.P.A.C.E are seriously looking forward to James Gunn's »Superman« — and the final trailer, released just in time for pre-sale, only fuels the fire of our anticipation. All signs point to a massive, full-blown blockbuster, and the film appears to be ready to enter the already fierce competition for this year's biggest cinematic event.
Blue — or at least blue-clad — aliens and strangers seem to be trending at the top: with the Na'vi, Stitch, the Fantastic Four, Steve and the Man of Steel all stepping into the ring, it's going to be a tight race.
You can watch the trailer for the film here:

… because »Momo«, based on Michael Ende's brilliant book of the same name, unfortunately looks a bit too much like an attempt to turn this beautiful fairy tale into a CGI-heavy blockbuster — without having the budget to back it up.
We really like Alexa Goodall in the title role, and Martin Freeman as Hora is definitely an interesting choice — but otherwise, it doesn't yet feel like the film will be able to capture the depth and atmosphere of the book, or the nostalgia of the 1986 adaptation.
Of course, we'd love to be proven wrong. In any case, here's the trailer:
https://youtu.be/KnDX7WA4djM»Brick« is not a remake of the brilliant 2005 teen-noir film — it's a German Netflix thriller starring Matthias Schweighöfer. The premise — an apartment building cut off from the outside world, turning into an escape-room-style mystery where the psychological tensions between residents come into play — is interesting.
But based on the trailer, it looks like someone took all the clichés from M. Night Shyamalan's worst films and used only those to write the script.
Here's the trailer:

The trailer for this modern A24 horror western feels like a mix between »Yellowstone« (the film even features Kayce Dutton actor Luke Grimes), »Get Out«, and »Breaking Bad«, showing us how a mayoral election in a small New Mexican town during the COVID-pandemic becomes a nightmare for an outsider couple.
»Hereditary« and »Midsommar« director Ari Aster brings an A-list cast to the screen with Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Emma Stone, and Austin Butler.

https://youtu.be/oL6jZqExlIkLiam Neeson might just bring us an absolute riot as the literal “son of a gun” in »The Naked Gun« — the latest trailer offers a much clearer glimpse of the tone we can expect from this soft reboot.
While the visual slapstick of the original is paid crude but loving tribute, there's also a fair amount of brutal action in classic Neeson style - somewhat surreal and turned upside down.
The real treat, however, is watching Neeson deliver the most absurd lines in his iconic deep and sincere voice and with that legendary “I will find you and I will kill you” stare — all while chomping down a giant hot dog or being handed a cup of coffee through the window of his moving car. And … he really does look like Leslie Nielsen's son.
