After many holidays and vacations and an understaffed bridge on our S.P.A.C.E Ship we now resume our familiar news program. Today we have our first Trailer Tuesday in 2020 on the schedule for you. We already honored the new trailer of BIRDS OF PREY. Here are eight more trailers that made us hot for the associated series and films:
NARCOS: MEXICO SEASON 2
This is only a small teaser with a bloody promise. So far, the S.P.A.C.E Crew hasn't followed the series yet. After the teaser, however, it climbed further up on our watchlist. The 2nd season starts on February 13th on Netflix.
LOCKE & KEY
A mystery horror coming-of-age story based on the comic of the same name by Joe Hill. The trailer made us curious. Maybe that's the next big Netflix thing. We will find out on February 7th.
HUNTERS
A series with Al Pacino in the role as a Nazi hunter and Jordan Peele as an executive producer in the background? Count us in! The new trailer looks promising. Starting on Prime Video on February 21st.
THE WOMAN IN THE WINDOW
The trailer for the mystery thriller with Amy Adams reminded us of COLUMBUS CYRCLE in terms of the initial situation, but then the film takes a different direction. It could be an exciting and multifaceted story.
A QUIET PLACE 2
A Quiet Place was extremely exciting and became a hit. A sequel was of course preprogrammed. John Krasinski sat on the director's chair again. Even if we are a bit hesitant about sequels, the trailer gives hope for an exciting continuation.
THE NEW MUTANTS
Marvel meets horror. After a long back and forth, a cinema release date has finally been set for the new mutants: April 16th.
MORBIUS
Jared Leto changes fronts and gets his first role as Dr. Michael Morbius in a MARVEL blockbuster. The trailer is - according to the topic - not only quite dark and gives hope for an R rating, it also contains some cross references to the MCU! So Morbius should be a quite high up on the list of all Marvel fans...
BLACK WIDOW
Marvel, the third and still dewy: the second trailer of Black Widow, released a few hours ago. We have nothing else to say. Of course, visiting the theaters is a mandatory event here.
The nominations for the 92nd Oscars have just been announced. We can already see how we’re going to blow the night of the award (February 9th), because that promises to be extremely exciting - after all, some high-caliber performers with good chances are competing against each other. If it only depends on the number of nominations, we already have a winner: »JOKER« was nominated 11 times, including as best film, Joaquin Phoenix for the best male lead, Todd Phillips for directing and best adapted screenplay. Competing with Joker for a gold boy for the best film: »THE IRISHMAN«, »ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD« and »1917« (10 nominations each), as well as »JOJO RABBIT«, »LITTLE WOMEN« and »MARRIAGE STORY« (6 nominations), the South Korean movie »PARASITE« (5 nominations) and »FORD V FERRARI« (4 nominations).
You can find all nominees here.
Four weeks before »Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn« will hit theaters, Warner Bros. presents us another sick trailer! We get to see the full psycho attitude of Harley Quinn, plus Black Mask (Ewan McGregor) finally with black mask!
This will be the first really big highlight in the cinema year 2020 and we are really looking forward to Margot Robbie and Co.!
The top dog SIDESHOW COLLECTIBLES has always used the Christmas holidays in recent years for the so-called »12 Days of Sideshow«. During this 12-day online event, the manufacturer unveils a new product, a new license or any other super hot announcement every day. A post-Christmas half Advent calendar with collectible news so to say ;)
Of the 12 announcements, the new Harley Quinn Premium Format Figure is the most appealing, closely followed by the PF Royal Guard (imagine two of them standing next to the Emperor on Throne...) and the yet unrecognizable Captain Marvel statue. Furthermore, it might be interesting to note that Sideshow is now also one of the licensees of »The Witcher III«.
On Sunday, the 77th GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS were presented in Los Angeles. The trophy is the most important harbinger of the Oscars, which will be awarded on February 10th. Winner of the evening was the World War film »1917« - it was honoured as best film drama, as well as Sam Mendes for best director. On the other hand, »Once Upon a Time in Hollywood« won three awards - best comedy, best screenplay (Quentin Tarantino) and Brad Pitt as best supporting actor.
Joaquin Phoenix deservedly received the award for best actor in a film drama for his performance as Joker - »Joker« was also honored for the best score. »The Irishman« was surprisingly left completely blank. The big winners among the series were »Chernobyl«, »Succession« and »Fleabag«.
Here you can find a complete overview of all Golden Globe winners.
Of course we're kicking off the new year with a new product of the month - and it's a creepy one this time... The JASON VOORHEES Deluxe Art Scale Statue in 1:10 scale by the Brasilian manufacturer »Iron Studios« really impressed us a lot and rightly so became our highlight in January!
The South-Americans are meanwhile holding a large range of licenses and are delivering really great collectibles. After pointing out the classy Superman last year, one of the most iconic slashers is following up now.
Besides the deluxe version, which contains a way more complex base aswell as a second, exchangeable head and an additional, interchangeable left arm with the head of a victim, there is also a regular variant of Jason. Here you will get a more simple base, the normal arm (without the cut-off head in his hand) and Jason's head with the hockey mask in front of his ugly face. Both versions are currently still in stock and ready to ship from our warehouse.
Happy New Year, dear S.P.A.C.E Army!
We are extremely looking forward to a new year - no, a new decade - with the best customers of the world.
2020 will surely be an exciting year in which we will be able to implement again many ideas and projects and finalize "constructions in the making“ aswell.
We wish you all a happy, peaceful and especially healthy year!
Your S.P.A.C.E Crew
