Denis Villeneuve is one of the most important filmmakers of his generation. His sci-fi epic »Dune«, based on Frank Herbert's classic novel, has already secured its place among future classic films. Even before the nominations are announced, we see him as a hot Oscar contender.

It is now confirmed that there will be a sequel to »Dune«. Speaking to “The Hollywood Reporter's Awards Chatter”, Villeneuve revealed that he's currently writing the script and will begin working on the storyboards shortly. Production designer Patrice Vermette is also busy visualizing the world of »Dune 2«. Part 1 is now available on Blu-ray or DVD and on SKY.

A masterpiece is best celebrated with a masterpiece, thought PRIME 1 STUDIO - and so the manufacturer presents us with a proven collaboration with BLITZWAY the first of surely several breathtaking »Dune« statues: Paul Atreides alias Timothée Chalamet!

After watching the film yesterday, our fellow Mick is absolutely thrilled with both the film and the statue. But the pleasant anticipation for the collectors among »Dune« fans will go on as a totally new manufacturer in the 1/6 section just appeared with an official license and the first »Dune« characters: AUG TOYS!

Wasn't that the perfect bedtime treat for every Middle-earthling yesterday?! Amazon released a first "clip" for The Lord of the Rings series, set to launch on September 2nd on Prime Video. Probably the most expensive series of all time will be entitled »The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power«. In order to shorten the 8 months until the start of the series, we are celebrating the releases for the 20th anniversary of the »Lord of the Rings« trilogy with the Weta Workshop. Freshly launched for you, we have the amazing »The Balrog« statue from the Classic Series.

One of the most popular game brands, Activision Blizzard, which unfortunately made the loop with negative press, will be integrated into the Microsoft empire!

You've read it right - Microsoft grabbed the gaming giant for "just" 69 billion US-Dollars! To bring this a little bit in a relation: just some days ago, »Take Two« went to the top of the most expensive take-overs with their »Zynga« deal of a value of 13 billion US-Dollars. Now they have to pass on spot #1 though.

What all this will mean for games like Diablo, Call of Duty, Overwatch aso. and of course for the Microsoft Game Pass has not been communicated yet. But it seems that as many games as possible shall be included in the Game Pass. We even assume that still all platforms (like for example Sony's PlayStation) will be served.

All this will surely stay exciting - let's see what Microsoft's strategy will be in the future with this take-over...

Oscar Isaac plays Steven Grant, who suffers from dissociative identity disorder. He has blackouts and memories of another life and the identity as mercenaries Marc Spector and... Moon Knight!

The marvelologists among you are probably getting served a lot of material in this preview that wants to be interpreted. We have to admit that we're not very familiar with the comic book character, but we're hooked after this trailer. The great Oscar Issac is convincing instantly. On top of that, the Moon Knight costume looks dope and we are excited for the Hot Toys figure that's sure to be coming like the next full moon.

Horror from South Korea has had a good reputation not just since »Train to Busan«. At least since »Squid Game« and »Kingdom«, many series fans do have the country as a horror quality maker on their radar.

So the first trailer on the new zombie series »All of Us Are Dead« definately arouses our interest - and our nightmares: a high school is afflicted by a zombie virus which is spreading super fast and unstoppable. No wonder that the school will stay closed for the moment...

Not only the trailer goes high speed, but also the teenage mutant ninja zombies. Two things seem to be pretty clear already: this isn't something for weak nerves - and: School's out forever, from January 28th on NETFLIX.

 

In 1996, mastermind Wes Craven gave the slasher genre a makeover. »Scream« was a self-referential horror movie that both deconstructed and celebrated the slasher. Ghost Face became an icon with a high recognition value.

26 years after the first and 11 years after the fourth part, it's going back to Woodsboro again. There we'll meet Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette. We're all looking forward to see them again and surely are indulging in pure horror nostalgia for now. But hopefully the film will offer a little more than just fan service and "meta rubbish", as one critic called it.

So far, the film has been received very positively by critics and the audience (IMDb Score 7.9), which also makes us optimistic. Of course nobody may expect a masterpiece - and also surely not that »Scream 5« will reinvent the horror genre, but we think we'll have fun at the movies 😎. Jack Quaid from »The Boys« is also on board, by the way.

Oh, and in case you're wondering who's the 🔪 killer this time - a little hint: he can be seen on the poster and of course he can be found in our shop 😜.

Tomorrow, »The Suicide Squad« spin-off »Peacemaker« will start on HBO Max. James Gunn has announced that the series with John Cena in the leading role will surpass »The Suicide Squad« with crazy ideas, rough jokes and bloody fights. The trailer material shown so far is already making a big impression and gives us hope for a trashy funny show.

Like every year, SIDESHOW turns the holidays into a very special fest for us collectors by revealing a new collectible every days over 12 days starting Christmas.

Besides a couple of new art prints, they of course also announced some great new statues. In close collaboration with the manufacturer »Tweeterhead«, all MOTU fans got enchanted even twice with the teaser on the »He-Man & Battle Cat Deluxe Maquette« and the »Mer-Man Legends Maquette«. We are confident that we'll be able to list both statues during January for pre-order on our website.

But also superheroes haven't been left behind. We can expect another »Thor Premium Format Figure« aswell as a »Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Premium Format Figure«. With the »Phoenix and Jean Grey Maquette«, they announced another impressive MARVEL statue.

Soon, the brand new »Darth Vader Mythos Statue« will make its way to us from a galaxy far, far away. Again, the Dark Lord of the Sith is set in scene epically.

As a final highlight, Sideshow announced their own »The Witcher« license and introduced even three stunning statues right away: »Geralt«, »Eredin« and »Yennefer«. Wow!

Peaky Blinders goes in to the final round, at least the series.
The final sixth season of the popular British drama series will start soon and the newest trailer promises a lot.

We´re all excited to see what will be waiting for the Shelbys.

However, this season is not the end of the Peaky Blinders Saga because creator Steven Knight plans to finish the story with a movie which shall start in 2023.

Today, we want to look back on the 12 designs of the year 2021 of the S.P.A.C.E Postcard Collection. It really makes us proud to see all the impressive creative work from every single artist who contributed a design during this year!

Great what we gathered here - and so a huge THANKS goes out today to all contributors... but also to all photographers in the world who dedicate themselves to the wonderful passion of toy photography. Keep it up :) !!!

Unfortunately some sad news came in from Eternia over Christmas... Mark Taylor, one of the groundbreaking designers in the toy industry, passed away on Christmas eve at the age of 80.

Especially we MOTU fans got shattered by these news, because we have to thank Mark Taylor for something big: He-Man and the Masters of the Universe! With his vision of He-Man, Skeletor and co, - or the »Lords of Power« as they originally have been called - Mark created an extremely important element of all our childhood which we could not imagine to ever miss.

In the wonderful NETFLIX documentary »The Toys that made us« (season 1), he contributed his part with highly interesting interviews. Very recommending for those of you who might not have seen it yet.

Thank you for everything, dear Mark, that you have given us! The Powers of Castle Grayskull will guide and protect you...
