We see many tired faces again this Monday, because for all sports fans it was THE night of nights, the event of the year, the final of the NFL!
Cincinnati Bengals vs. Los Angeles Rams in the 56th Super Bowl, held at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. After Jhene Aiko performed »America the Beautiful« very emotionally and Mickey Guyton caused goosebumps with the national anthem, the game of the year opened with none other than »The Rock«.
Cincinnati was looking like a surefire winner, but about one and a half minutes before the clock was up, just short of the Bengals' end zone, Matthew Stafford's pass went up... in an arc... and Cooper Kupp got the winning touchdown and led the Rams to the Super Bowl victory! This makes the Rams the second team, after the Buccaneers last year, to win the coveted trophy at their home stadium. CONGRATULATION!
All the trappings get almost as much attention as the game itself. After last year's half-time show was pretty clear with "not very spectacular", a bang was needed. A spectacle, a firework, a gigantic highlight... So the field was transformed into a street map of LA. The scenery was kept rather simple, because the focus was on the real stars:
Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar were announced in an epic trailer about two weeks ago. But someone even crept in: surprise star 50 Cent appeared, as in the video clip, dangling upside down from the ceiling of the house scenery, with his song »In da Club«!
Eminem also performed with a guest act (R&B singer Anderson Paak) before he used the performance for a very special message: the kneeling as a sign against police violence and racism, which former NFL player Colin Kaepernick 2016 during the US national anthem in front of a game demonstrated for the first time. The whole performance was really impressive, as we thought!

Of course, the most exciting thing for film and series addicts are the exclusive trailer premieres during the Super Bowl final. To be honest, we would have expected a few more clips here, but at least Amazon kept the promise and showed the first footage of »The Rings of Power«. We are looking forward to your opinion...

Sadly the weeks starts with really tragic news from Hollywood: director Ivan Reitman passed away at the age of 75.
Honestly, this news hit us like a lightning bolt this morning, because Ivan lately made such a good impression during the promo tour for »Ghostbusters: Afterlife«. It was so heart-warming to see him together with his son Jason.
Especially we Ghostbusters fans have so much to thank Ivan Reitman for. What he created will stay forever in our minds, our hearts and surely also in our collections. Who knows... perhaps he and Harold will soon cook up something up there 💗.

Did you know that 82 years ago today, on February 10th, 1940, the first episode of »Tom & Jerry« was shown in American cinemas? By 1967, unbelievable 161 cartoon episodes were produced. Originally, the funny duo was first called Jasper & Jinx, but was then renamed to Tom & Jerry in an internal MGM "sweepstakes" - the winner received $50 reward at the time.
How often did we laugh when the clumsy cat Tom went hunting for Jerry again... Not only we did find it extremely funny and spectacular, because seven cartoon episodes even won an Oscar, making Tom & Jerry the most awarded cartoon series in history!

The furious season finale of »The Book of Boba Fett« takes place on Disney+ since yesterday. After a very emotional 6th epsisode there's a lot more action going on in the final chapter.
It seems that this was reason enough for the manufacturers SIDESHOW and HOT TOYS to announce two (actually three) super cool Boba Fett novelties in 1:4 scale: a really impressive Premium Format Figure as well as two versions (regular and deluxe) of a Quarter Scale Boba. You can already find them listed for pre-order on our website :)!
But the force is even stronger, dear STAR WARS fans: Disney threw one more in the fire over night. They released a new artwork and the launch date on the »Obi-Wan Kenobi« series! Oh dear, this looks so stunning!! We are extremely excited on May 25 and the return of Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan... or Ben.

Are you as excited as we are on the grand finale of »Better Call Saul«? Season 5 is actually two years old already... Since the great Bob Odenkirk tragically had an heart attack in July 2021 on set, he had to take a little recovery break. Of course.
Thank god he's doing better now and it looks like shooting is wrapped - because AMC released a first teaser on the 6th and final season! Besides the nasty cowboy boots of the Salamanca twins, there isn't that much going on yet - well, actually... hmm, it might be that our crypto forensics managed to decode the release date!

This goes perfectly along with our current product of the month, because the music by John Williams IS »Jaws«. Whenever the catchy beats come up, everybody knows right away: Bruce will attack! Incredible how effective and distinctive, despite a relatively simple composition.
Of course we all associate John Williams with other acclaimed films and pop culture phenomena. Can anybody imagine »Star Wars« or »Indiana Jones« without his music?
The IMDb lists 161 credits as a composer. He so far was nominated more than 50 times for the Oscar and won it five times - the first time in 1972 for »Fiddler on the Roof« and then - of course - for »Jaws«!

This week, Netflix and Paramount+ unleashed two new trailers on mankind.
The preview on »Texas Chainsaw Massacre« certainly has its moments and we shouldn't judge the film just by looking at the trailer, but we do lament the lack of originality a bit. The "new" sequel follows on from the 1974 original and ignores all other films. Sally Hardesty, the survivor of the first part, is now really bad-ass and takes up the fight against Leatherface. Hm... this all somehow seems familiar, doesn't it? From February 18th we will know more about whether this will be a cinematic highlight or just another title on the Netflix scraps ramp.

After the minimalistic teaser there is a first real trailer on the »HALO« series now. The show will start on March 24th in the US. So far, no German channel or streaming service has been found. So let's hope that »HALO« won't let us wait too long, because the trailer appears pretty good!

The »Masters of the Universe« reboot - a project as stiff as a chewing gum and as mysterious as the secrets of Castle Grayskull...
Maybe there will soon be some light at the end of the MOTU tunnel, because one - and who would have guessed that - NETFLIX grabbed the rights and second there are finally news regarding the He-Man actor!
Former ballet dancer Kyle Allen will wield the Power Sword after »To All The Boys«-star Noah Centineo dropped out as He-Man. Allen was seen for example in »West Side Story« and »American Horror Story«. So he is absolutely predestined for the role as Prince Adam - but whether he can hold a candle to the powerhouse Dolph Lundgren or whether there will even be a double for the He-Man scenes remains to be seen.
However - we are of course full of pleasant anticipation and look positively and super excited towards the film. And let's be honest: even if the live-action movie from 1987 is a cult classic, the new adaption just can only get better ;).

Denis Villeneuve is one of the most important filmmakers of his generation. His sci-fi epic »Dune«, based on Frank Herbert's classic novel, has already secured its place among future classic films. Even before the nominations are announced, we see him as a hot Oscar contender.
It is now confirmed that there will be a sequel to »Dune«. Speaking to “The Hollywood Reporter's Awards Chatter”, Villeneuve revealed that he's currently writing the script and will begin working on the storyboards shortly. Production designer Patrice Vermette is also busy visualizing the world of »Dune 2«. Part 1 is now available on Blu-ray or DVD and on SKY.
A masterpiece is best celebrated with a masterpiece, thought PRIME 1 STUDIO - and so the manufacturer presents us with a proven collaboration with BLITZWAY the first of surely several breathtaking »Dune« statues: Paul Atreides alias Timothée Chalamet!
After watching the film yesterday, our fellow Mick is absolutely thrilled with both the film and the statue. But the pleasant anticipation for the collectors among »Dune« fans will go on as a totally new manufacturer in the 1/6 section just appeared with an official license and the first »Dune« characters: AUG TOYS!
Of course we are also after them and will be able to list the figures on our website for pre-order hopefully very soon. So: stay duned...

You've read it right - Microsoft grabbed the gaming giant for "just" 69 billion US-Dollars! To bring this a little bit in a relation: just some days ago, »Take Two« went to the top of the most expensive take-overs with their »Zynga« deal of a value of 13 billion US-Dollars. Now they have to pass on spot #1 though.
What all this will mean for games like Diablo, Call of Duty, Overwatch aso. and of course for the Microsoft Game Pass has not been communicated yet. But it seems that as many games as possible shall be included in the Game Pass. We even assume that still all platforms (like for example Sony's PlayStation) will be served.
All this will surely stay exciting - let's see what Microsoft's strategy will be in the future with this take-over...

Oscar Isaac plays Steven Grant, who suffers from dissociative identity disorder. He has blackouts and memories of another life and the identity as mercenaries Marc Spector and... Moon Knight!
The marvelologists among you are probably getting served a lot of material in this preview that wants to be interpreted. We have to admit that we're not very familiar with the comic book character, but we're hooked after this trailer. The great Oscar Issac is convincing instantly. On top of that, the Moon Knight costume looks dope and we are excited for the Hot Toys figure that's sure to be coming like the next full moon.

The marvelologists among you are probably getting served a lot of material in this preview that wants to be interpreted. We have to admit that we're not very familiar with the comic book character, but we're hooked after this trailer. The great Oscar Issac is convincing instantly. On top of that, the Moon Knight costume looks dope and we are excited for the Hot Toys figure that's sure to be coming like the next full moon.
