Do you remember those big buildings, where the parking lot smells of popcorn and you - and a bunch of ohter people - in a very large, darkened room, on a huge screen with cracking sound, lounging in a comfortable armchair, with a lot of unhealthy nibbles and cola... watching a movie? This place is called CINEMA - and we are able to go there again since July 1st!
In order to celebrate the end of our absence from the cinema, we put together a full watchlist for July and today we want to share three titles that we are very looking forward to with you:
After BLACK WIDOW fell victim to the corona pandemic as one of the first blockbusters last year, the story about Natasha Romanoff finally starts in German cinemas today! Although, not in all of them, because the multiplex-cinema chain »Kinopolis« is boycotting it due to the release on Disney+ just one day later. For every MCU fan, »Black Widow« is of course a must-see. It's great that Scarlett Johansson finally got her solo performance.

07.07.2021 • THE DUKE IN 1:6!
The two Italian manufacturers »Kaustic Plastik« and »Infinite Statue« present their third coup of collaboration - and that's none other than the "Duke" himself. After the two studios have already set a monument to an icon of the Italo-fun-beating-up-western with Bud Spencer, they are now turning to the western legend par excellence: John Wayne. The character is based on Wayne's appearance as grumpy Marshal Rooster Cogburn in Henry Hathaway's 1969 western classic »True Grit«.
Compliments to the artists - a great job in all departments, from the accurate modeling of the head sculpt to a great paint job and the film-authentic representation of the outfit and props.
We look forward to further results of the fruitful collaboration between Infinite Statue and Kaustic Plastik. Of course, we would like to see Terence Hill to complete the popular beating duo. In the western genre we speculate a little on Django because Infinite has a Franco Nero license. If we look at the Old & Rare line from Infinite, we get really jittery. A lot of Hollywood icons from the golden age are already gathered there. Wouldn't Bogard & Bergman from Casablanca be fantastic 1/6 figures?

06.07.2021 • NEW VISIONS OF STAR WARS
Last Sunday, a first, 3-minute long "special look" of one of the latest projects went online on the official Star Wars YouTube channel: STAR WARS: VISIONS.
Lucasfilm and Disney are collaborating with seven well established Japanese anime studios for »Visions« to be able to tell whole new stories in a totally new style (both content wise as well as visually). Some of the titels of the all over 9 shorts, like for example »Tatooine Rhapsody« or »The Ninth Jedi«, do sound very promising. It probably won't be at everybody's taste though.
We are definately excited and will tune in on September 22 on Disney+...

Sony Pictures released a new trailer for »Don't Breath 2« this week and sends the success of the surprise hit from 2016 into the next round! »Don't Breath« turned the home invasion genre upside down and the title of the film was definately program for the viewers. If you watched it, you surely held our breath more than once...
The trailer for the second part promises to be a real nail bite again. Stephen Lang (Avatar) takes on the role of Blind Man. And again, the project rests in the hands of Fede Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues (Don't Breath, Evil Dead). That's good, because never change a winning team!
The movie will be released in cinemas this August. Are you looking forward to the flick?

01.07.2021 • PRODUCT OF THE MONTH JULY 2021
For our product of the month July 2021, we actually ended up again with the brand »Trick or Treat Studios« - and therefore in the horror genre! This slasher icon eventually does not really match to current summer vibes and it would probably be better placed in October. But since we have another great Trick or Treat shipment on the way to us, the 1/6 scale Michael Myers figure from the 2018 HALLOWEEN by director David Gordon Green simply was the perfect choice for our monthly highlight!
Trick or Treat dared to step into the 1/6 business with a variety of Michael Myers versions and they could stand the test! Besides that we think that the timing isn't so bad at all, because it seems that the sequel »Halloween Kills« will finally hit cinemas in October...
We're already looking very forward to the shooting with Mr. Myers and we will of course also place him on the plate!

We know it since 1978. Michael Myers just can't be killed . With a little delay due to Corona, he is returning to the cinema, where he will teach us fear again starting October 14th.
Universal published the first long trailer for »Halloween Kills« today and Michael impressively demonstrates his skills. Assuming the trailer, it looks like a damn high body count.

Does anyone still remember what exactly a "convention" is? Ahh, right, it is a wonderful event in one or several halls where hardcore nerds and fans from all sections of pop culture come together and dive into their favorite worlds, almost drowning from colorful impressions 🤩.
What we here in Europe hopefully will be getting back again soon, our conspecifics far away in China already have been able to experience in the last days during »Wonder Festival« in Shanghai!
Our friend Mick rounded up the highlights of the con over at ACTION FIGURE DISTRICT for you. Especially Queen Studios raised the bar extremely high this time, but of course there were also numerous novelties to see from the 1/6 section which you should not miss out on...

To celebrate the international Ghostbusters Day, Sony Pictures this week released a look behind the scenes of the shooting of »Ghostbusters: Afterlife«.
In addition to a foretaste of new footage, the clip offers a heartwarming impression of director Jason Reitman and his relationship with his father and producer Ivan Reitman. The two remember the franchise and look back at the first Ghostbusters, from the year 1984.
It's really great to see that everything stays in the family and how the "Proton Pack is passed on"... This increases our anticipation for the film even more 🤩. Let's hope that Ghostbusters will finally hit cinemas in November.

On the agends are big announcements, exclusive teaser and trailer premieres, previews, insights behind the scenes, interviews with the actors, games with guest stars, script readings, live performances and much more.
The whole thing will of course be for free on the social media platforms of the station. So we all can look forward a lot of hot news about The Witcher, The Umbrella Academy, Money Heist, Resident Evil and of course Masters of the Universe: Revelation!

Normally, we prefer to only advertise our own YouTube channel, surely because we are creating the best content in the world 🤪😅. But looking at what the Japanese manufacturer PRIME 1 STUDIO blew out lately in their »Next Level Showcase 2« is pure madness - and cannot be withheld from any collector!
Breathtaking novelties on existing licenses like Alien, Predator, Lord of the Rings, Games of Thrones and of course DC, but also new reveals of collectibles from Godzilla vs. Kong and Jurassic Park and brand new license announcements like for example Dune or Attack on Titan...
We really can recommend you to invest these two and a half hours. This full load of high-end collectibles will surely blow your mind. Highly impressive and almost hurting, if you start sorting out in your head what will be feasable for your own collection... and perhaps what not.
We will get in detail into the PRIME 1 show in our next ABGESPACED episode for sure and talk about that with you, because we feel there's a need to talk 😉!

After ogling quite a while, we finally decided to make a 7" action-figure from McFarlane Toys from the »DC Multiverse« the monthly highlight.
It's a little bit of "going back to the roots", what the Todd-Father himself - Todd McFarlane - did here with his very own creation of the Dark Knight from Gotham City within this yet very popular figure line.
As all characters of the series, also Batman is equipped with proper accessories. He comes in a nice window-box, but of course you'll have more fun with him after unpacking ;)
We think that every collector should have the DC Multiverse figures on the radar - especially because of the reasonable price level where they are set. Therefore, our vote for the product of the month June 2021 went on Bats!

»Highlander« from 1986 is nowadays considered a classic with cult appeal. Christopher Lambert as Connor MacLeod, Sean Connery as Ramirez and Clancy Brown as Kurgan are part of our pop culture today and surely everyone gets goose bumps by the QUEEN soundtrack. It goes without saying that - contrary to what was originally planned - Highlander became a franchise with sequels and a TV series. With the unspeakable »Highlander: The Source«, the brand was buried in 2007...
But hey, we're dealing with immortals here - and so there is a remake / reboot in the house! With the »John Wick« films, director Chad Stahelski showed us that he knows how to do good action. And as Deadline now reported, Henry Cavill will play one of the main roles. He has already impressively demonstrated that he can handle swords in the Netflix series »The Witcher«.
We're looking forward to seeing heads rolling again and hear the tagline: “There can only be one!“

This is what a trailer should look like! Universal Pictures released the first trailer for Edgar Wright's »Last Night in Soho« yesterday. We dare to oracle that it will be one of our favorite films of the year...
Why are we so confident? Not only because the color scheme and cut of the trailer is stunning, mysterious and exciting, without revealing too much. When Edgar Wright makes a film, you can always count on something special. He brought us such memorable movies like »Shaun of the Dead«, »Hot Fuzz«, »Baby Driver« and »Scott Pilgrim vs. the World«. So it's no wonder that we're listening. A horror thriller from his pen and under his direction promises to be finest entertainment - perfectly timed and not "off the shelf".
The themes of time travel and swinging London always trigger us anyway - and Anya Taylor-Joy alone is a good reason to go to the movies. In the trailer, she sings Petula Clark's »Downtown« so hypnotically that the trailer gets under the skin and literally absorbs us. Yes, we are hooked!

25.05.2021 • THE TIME OF THE ETERNALS WILL COME...
The first official teaser for the »Eternals« is here! It begins with the arrival of the Eternals in a very pretty Stone Age scenario with elevator music playing. The Eternals have been here for a damn long time, and have pushed the civilization of humanity that would otherwise probably not have gotten it straight. But otherwise, they stayed out of everything - until now! So there must be going on something really weird, because they not even got in between the fight of the Avengers against Thanos. Phew, and the joke at the end makes them look like a bunch of ignorant... whatevers in this light. We're curious to see how the script will explain us that logically, but let's wait and see. That's just a first teaser.
In any case, we are looking forward to the ladies Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayek and the two Game of Thrones warriors Kit Harington and Richard Madden. How is your reaction to the trailer?

Homelander and Starlight from »The Boys«, a color version of Frankenstein's Monster and a motorized replica of the Grapnel Launcher from Batman: The Animated Series will first be exclusively sold in the US at Walmart.
»The Thing's« Macready (Outpost 31), »Back to the Future 2« Doc Brown (2015) and two new King Kong versions will be Target Exclusives for the moment.
We are really looking forward to it and are just as excited as you are to see if or when we can list them in our shop! Great Scott, stay tuned...
