Next week it will be that time again, »Dead by Daylight« gets a new member in the form of a new survivor. But not only the game can look forward to a new character, the »The Hillbilly PVC Statue« by the manufacturer »Kotobukiya« will also arrive in our shop shortly.

It has recently become very fashionable to leave out the number of the sequel. Maybe that's because sequels don't have the very best reputation.

So we are also quite skeptical. But the reunion with the cherished characters Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox), Dewey Riley (David Arquette) and the iconic Ghost Face mask makes us measured optimistic.

Most beautiful sentence in the trailer: "I'm Sidney Prescott, of course I have a gun."

The third season of »The Movies That Made Us« starts today on NETFLIX. This time, the entertaining and informative format presents eight movies with cult status!

It starts with two Christmas classics: »Nightmare Before Christmas« and »Elf«. Then - in line with our SHOCKTOBER theme - it gets really scary with »Halloween«, »A Nightmare on Elm Street«, »Friday the 13th« and »Aliens«. We top it off with the comedy »Coming to America« and the sci-fi action hit »RoboCop«.

Another great selection that is certainly an integral part of the cinema socialization of many of us. We are looking forward to the entertaining and amusing look at these highlights of film history and we recommend them to all cinema fans. And if you missed the previous ones by now, then you should definitely watch the first two seasons as well.

After one week »Sideshow New York Con« it is time for a little round up: there were a couple of already seen products on display. Of course more exciting were the few novelties which we don't want to hide from you!

The show kicked off with Sideshow's no.1 highlight, the enchanting Red Riding Hood statue from the Fairytale Fantasies Collection which is done in collaboration with the talented artist J. Scott Campbell. Further there were a bunch of new reveals by the brand PCS, like for example the 1/6 Ghost Rider on Hellbike statue, the breath-taking Chun-Li statue in wedding dress and two versions of Ivan Drago from the cult classic »Rocky 4«. The Marvel community can expect a Wolverine while the Turtles will get a new challenger: Rocksteady. From the horror genre they introduced two versions of a 1/3 scale Leatherface who will be accompanied by a blood thirsty Lady Death (in the same scale).

To be honest, we were hoping for one or two more big hits from the event, but of course we are very happy and looking forward to list all the new shown collectibles on our website soon....

Last weekend, the manufacturer MEZCO TOYZ presented new revelations in their in-house online convention »MEZCO CON« and they struck like lightning! The five-man team of Power Rangers in the One:12 Collective Boxed Set has certainly made one or the other heart beat faster. Another big surprise was the announcement of 1/12 Dr. Doom figure.

But not only the Marvel Universe has grown at Mezco, DC fans can also look forward to a Batman & Two-Face Boxed Set.

A Roto Plush Pennywise (1990) figure and a 5 Points Mezco's Monsters Boxed Set were presented from the horror section. And so we stay right in the movies, because the Godzilla vs. Hedorah (1971) announcement also creates a lot of anticipation.

So, keep your eyes open, because we will soon be offering the items in the shop for pre-order.

The bang that you heard last night wasn't a pre-launched New Year's Eve fireworks - NOPE!!!... It was the kick-off of Sideshow's own »New York Con«, the online convention which will last until October 10.

We surely can look forward to a couple of reveals and premieres in the next few days, Be sure that we will round up all highlights next week.

The first big hit was immediately shown on day 1: the enchanting Red Riding Hood, the next statue within the »Fairytale Fantasies Collection«, designed by J. Scott Campbell. This beautiful (and also sexy) collectible is already listed on our website and can be pre-ordered right now :).

The next, highly anticipated STAR WARS Disney+ series - The Book of Boba Fett - has an official launch date: December 29th 2021!

So please mark this date FETT in your calendars so that we all can join the most famous bounty hunter from a galaxy far, far away on some new, probably very absurd adventures...

For a better view on our collectibles, we'll look at everything from above this month. So it's obvious that our product of the month in October 2021 is the magnificent »Levitating House« statue by the manufacturer Enesco. Anyone who knows the Disney / Pixar film »UP« and always wanted to raise high, now has the possibility to do that.

The wonderful statue shows Carl's floating, balloon-powered house under a stormy cloud cover. The house actually floats in the air thanks to polarizing magnets! The LED lighting indicates you whether the magnet is activated. Technology and storytelling go hand in hand here, implemented in a very special collectible.

Yesterday, »James Bond: No Time to Die« finally celebrated its premiere in London after a long wait and an 18 months delay! And when Her Majesty's secret agent steps up  the red carpet, a few royals should not be missing. Kate Middleton spread the proper portion of glamor all in gold to match the occasion.

For Daniel Craig it is his 5th and last appearance as the agent with the License to Kill. For us, he is one of our favorite Bonds (after Sir Sean Connery). Who will follow in his footsteps...?

But now it's time to celebrate the new Bond adventure. The film finally starts in cinemas today. Let's take a vodka martini shaken, not stirred, of course...

The darned 13th episode ABGESPACED - NEUES AUS DEM FIGUREN UNIVERSUM 🚀 is actually not darned at all, because we already checked that off in the previous episode ;). On the contrary: this time we had a good flow and were able to put together a colorful program for you.

»Captain Marvel 2«, which will be released in November 2022 under the title »The Marvels«, promises full female power!

We'll get to deal with three super heroines this time: of course Brie Larson will return as Carol Danvers alias Captain Marvel. She'll be supported by Kamala Khan alias Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani), who by the way will get her own MCU »Ms. Marvel« series. Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), who we all got to know in »WandaVision«, will complete the trio.

There is also female power behind the camera: »WandaVision« screenwriter Megan McDonnell is also on board with »The Marvels« and Nia DaCosta, who recently impressed with »Candyman«, will be directing the movie.

It's a pitty that we still have to wait for more than a year...

What is TUDUM? Quite simple - that's the jingle sound under the Netflix logo AND it's the title of a three-hour global fan event that Netflix streamed last Saturday: interviews with cast and crew from popular Netflix series and films, statements, expressions of love, first looks and lots of new trailers!

We were particularly impressed by the new trailer on »Stranger Things« which takes us back to the 1950s - awesome!. In addition to a new trailer, there were also two short excerpts from the »Witcher«. The video for »Cowboy Bebop« is very cool and jazzy. A must see - and it really makes us want to see the series! The US manufacturer NECA - best known as the leading brand throughout the action-figure sector - fortunately comes around the corner with a nice surprise from time to time when it comes to unexpected license reveals that might especially amuse retro fans.

This week, they not only served a tasty cat sandwich, but also one of our absoute 80's sitcom favorites: ALF!

Gordon Shumway, surely the most famous Melmacian of all time, will hit earth - and your collections - directly from planet Melmac as a stunning Ultimate Figure in spring 2022! You will soon find him listed for pre-order on our website...

Yesterday, Universal Pictures released the second and probably final trailer for »Halloween Kills«. The film follows »Halloween« from 2018. Of course Michael Myers is not burned to death, because evil simply cannot be killed and so bad ass Laurie Strode has to take up the fight again.

There are plenty of examples of how reviving an old film franchise can fail. The 2018 film is a notable exception in this respect and we are looking forward to the sequel, which of course brings back goose bumps in memories of the 80s and the golden age of slasher films.

The 73rd Emmy Awards took place yesterday. Those of you who spent last night in front of the TV's watching the live broadcast may have been a bit disappointed, because all the nominees who make geek hearts beat faster unfortunately came away empty-handed.

There was also a certain one-sidedness to be noted, because there was usually one winner who took it all in the sections and associated actor categories. In the "Best Comedy" category, it was »Ted Lasso«, all actors awards also went to the series, with the exception of only the best leading actress. Here Jean Smart won in »Hacks«.

In the best drama series, »The Crown« took everything. So neither »The Boys«, »The Mandalorian«, »Lovecraft Country« nor »A Handmaids Tail« could score.

In the mini-series, »The Queen's Gambit« then beats »WandaVision«. In the actor categories, »Mare of Easttown« made the race with Kate Winslet as the leading actress. The leading actor award went to Ewan McGregor for »Halston«. The nominees for »WandaVision« Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany also received nothing. Supporting actor prizes were also won by »Mare of Easttown«.

Don't get us wrong, we liked »The Crown«, »The Queen's Gambit« and »Mare of Easttown« and they are certainly top-class and well-played series. Therefore we warmly congratulate all the winners, but we would have liked a little more versatility and geek stuff...

If there is a film that you should see on the big screen, with no ifs and buts, it is »Dune«. From today, Denis Villeneuve's movie can finally be seen in cinemas.

Our anticipation is enormous! The trailers were already epic and were confirmed across the board by the criticism. The Rotten Tomatos Tomatometer is currently at 87%, the IMDb score is at 8.7. It is not uncommon to read and hear the word “masterpiece”.

We wish the film a lot of success. The gigantic epic needs to continue, of course. That will be decided at the box office. No excuse, folks, go to the movies quickly, ideally twice!

Yesterday, MARVEL released the first trailer for the »Hawkeye« series, which will launch exactly one month before Christman, so on November 24, on Disney +:

Christmas is also the perfect keyword, because the trailer takes place during Advent and is highlighted by Andy William's old Christmas hit »It's the most wonderful Time of the Year«. In combination with the action, this brings a nice ironic refraction and definitely makes us want to see the series. We really had to smile at timecode 1:20, because in this world, there's actually a »Rogers - The Musical« (make sure to press pause at this point). The poster for the musical can also be seen right at the beginning, by the way Funny!
