Marking the 40th anniversary of Frank Miller’s iconic comic series »Batman: The Dark Knight Returns«, originally published in 1986, this figure captures Bruce Wayne’s return to Gotham after ten years of retirement as an aging, uncompromising Batman. No longer the sleek crime-fighter of his youth, the 55-year-old Dark Knight confronts street gangs, the Joker, and ultimately even the government-sanctioned Superman with brutal determination. Hot Toys brings this battle-worn version to life as a high-quality 1:6 scale figure.

The newly developed Bruce Wayne head sculpt features separately movable eyes and blood effects that highlight the scars of battle. Also included is a blue Batman head with three interchangeable lower face parts, allowing various moments from the source material to be recreated. A specially crafted muscular body emphasizes the physical strength of the aging, battle-hardened Dark Knight.

The grey Batsuit is made of elastic material and features realistic tears and blood effects. An intricately designed blue cape with internal wiring allows for dynamic posing. The utility belt, gauntlets, and boots also show matching signs of wear and blood effects.

Six interchangeable gloved hands with blood effects enable a variety of combat poses. These include newly developed damaged fists, open hands, and weapon-holding hands. Additionally, a removable Batman mask is included. It can be attached to the body alongside the Bruce Wayne head sculpt, offering an alternative display option with the character's cowl removed.

The figure’s arsenal includes four Batarangs, a Batarang with a rope, and a rifle. A specially designed display stand completes the set.
