Popeye 1st Appearance - black Shirt Version

To mark the 95th anniversary of »Popeye,« a special action figure is being released – one that, for the first time, draws inspiration from Popeye’s original 1929 design. The design is based on the classic comic strips by E. C. Segar, blending the nostalgic style of the early publications with a modern figure interpretation.

The figure depicts Popeye wearing his later black shirt and captures many of the legendary sailor’s most recognizable traits. Thanks to 20 points of articulation, a wide variety of poses and classic scenes from the comics can be recreated.

Accessories include an alternate head, interchangeable hands, and Bernice the Whiffle Hen – a magical creature regarded by fans of the series as one of the most unusual companions from the early stories.
