What initially appears to be a harmless ability has far-reaching consequences for Globulon. At a young age, he crosses paths with the criminal Zorrtexx and remains by his side from that moment on. Over time, he gradually adopts more and more of Zorrtexx’s ruthless nature, transforming the once-impressionable Bateesian into an equally merciless criminal.

For many cycles, Globulon and Zorrtexx have roamed the Cosmerrium together, earning their living as mercenaries and bounty hunters. Their latest mission takes them to Akkadian Prime, where they have been hired to track down the reclusive cybernetics expert Dr. Zajjarii. Their hunt, however, soon becomes far more complicated than expected. Agents of the Mortal Thorn are also searching for Dr. Zajjarii, turning the mission into a dangerous race in which every side is determined to reach the elusive scientist first.
