Drevarthi Sentinel

The Drevarthi warrior stands ready for battle, his body covered in white ash from head to toe and marked with blood-red handprints. A skull with curved horns crowns his shoulder armor, while a leather belt with round fittings encircles his waist. In one hand, the figure holds a pair of curved blades; in the other, a long, serrated sword.

Tattered scraps of fur at the belt, leather straps on the arms and legs, and simple sandals complete the warrior's archaic attire. The articulated action figure features detailed paintwork – from the bloody handprints to the finely crafted weapons – and can be posed dynamically thanks to numerous points of articulation.

Drevarthi Bio:
"The Drevarthi are the ash-bound people of the volcanic Breiogar Islands. The fiercely independent tribes are oath-sworn warriors who believe the dead do not abandon the living. Flame releases the soul, sacred smoke carries it skyward, and ash returns the fallen to the tribe. Warriors coat their skin in this final gift from the ancestral pyres and mark themselves with bloody handprints before battle. Blood for the living flame in their bodies and ash for the ancestors who walk beside them.
Each tribe has tales of a central volcano that once erupted with such violence that a massive fracture opened the crust of the world – the Nar’Thar – the Death Rift. From its depths came vast numbers of insectoid predators. They hunted not by sight or sound. They stalked warmth. Entire scouting parties were slaughtered in the first encounters, but the Drevarthi possessed a tradition the creatures struggled to perceive. Warriors covered in ritual ash appeared nearly invisible to the insectoids’ thermoreceptors.
Now the Drevarthi move across the ash plains like drifting statues of cooled stone, shielded by the dead as they hunt the creatures of Nar’Thar."
