1/7 Scale Sadako Bishoujo PVC Statue

Kotobukiya is re-releasing the popular Sadako statue from its HORROR BISHOUJO line. The original release commemorated the 15th anniversary of the BISHOUJO series, which began in 2009. Japanese horror icon Sadako has been reimagined by artist Shunya Yamashita in his signature BISHOUJO style, giving her an unusually gentle facial expression.

Her long black hair can be positioned to completely cover her face, staying true to the classic depiction of Japanese ghosts. An interchangeable face part reveals a single eye peeking out from beneath her hair with a lost, vacant gaze. This special edition of the Sadako BISHOUJO statue also includes an exclusive "Horror Face Plate", which transforms her expression into a furious, lethal glare.

Her iconic white dress was designed with particular attention to the film scene in which Sadako emerges drenched after spending time in the well. The paintwork creates the impression of her skin showing through the thin-looking fabric. Her damaged fingernails and toenails also reflect the marks left by her desperate scratching while trapped inside the well.

The statue depicts Sadako hovering above a stack of videotapes, seemingly suspended by her psychic powers. Long strands of magnetic tape surround the figure and can be arranged as desired. Two additional spools of magnetic tape are also included in a box designed to resemble a VHS cassette, offering further options for customizing the display.
