1/10 Scale Frankenstein by Mary Shelley Statue

In this statue by Everart Studio, the creature from Mary Shelley’s »Frankenstein« is depicted as a colossal figure marked by scars and wounds. A metal framework holds the skull together, while stitches and injuries cover the body. A grey loincloth is the figure’s only garment, while the heart and blue-and-red vessels protrude from the torn-open chest. Part of the "Masters of Madness" series, the statue is crafted in 1:10 scale.

Mary Shelley herself stands beside the creature, wearing a long, light-grey dress with a ruffled hem. Standing on tiptoe atop a padded stool, she reaches for the exposed heart with both hands, while blood on her fingers heightens the macabre atmosphere. The composition reflects the series’ motto: The doctor gave the creature a brain; Shelley gave it a heart.

The round, marble-effect base combines iron with gold-colored brass gears, echoing the conflict between scientific progress and raw matter. A stopped clock stands at the center, symbolizing the moment of creation. Red gemstones and other organic elements contrast with the mechanical components, underscoring the interplay between life and artificial creation.

Standing approximately 32 cm tall, the statue is made of hand-painted polystone and is limited to a worldwide edition of 100 pieces. The "Creators Edition" includes an additional bust of the creature, standing approximately 12 cm tall. Two interchangeable head sculpts are available for the bust: the classic head and "The Suffering Creature", featuring an expression of anguish. The head not currently in use can be displayed on the bust. The set is complemented by a 30 × 40 cm art print by Pasquale Qualano, as well as a numbered and signed certificate of authenticity.

Everart Studio deliberately focuses on public domain content rather than licensed properties, prioritizing the story behind each piece over the object itself. The "Masters of Madness" series pays tribute to the great masters of horror and gothic literature, with each piece crafted with exceptional attention to detail and narrative precision.
