Billy makes several notable discoveries involving Velociraptors at Fort Peck Lake, Montana, including the use of 3D-printing technology to recreate the creature’s resonating chamber—believed to function as a vocal or communication organ.

In Jurassic Park III, Billy is shown carefully brushing away sediment from a Velociraptor skeleton at the excavation site. During fossilization, the original calcium in bones is gradually replaced by minerals, and uncovering dinosaur fossils requires exceptional patience, precision, and expertise.
