Dain Ironfoot on War Boar Statue

At San Diego Comic-Con 2015, Dain Ironfoot atop his war boar was a major highlight at the Weta booth. Standing an impressive 39 cm tall, the statue was sculpted and painted with unparalleled attention to detail.

Dain Ironfoot – Dwarf Lord of the Iron Hills from »The Hobbit« – rides into battle atop his massive war boar, ready for combat with his signature red hammer raised high. The Weta statue captures the moment Dain and his army break through the siege of Erebor.

A braided, fiery-red beard and an elaborate headdress featuring dark feathers define the Dwarf Lord’s striking appearance, while heavy chainmail and intricate plate armor underscore his status as a seasoned warrior. The war boar also wears massive armor studded with spiked metal elements, making it appear just as battle-ready as its rider.

The statue stands on a naturalistic rocky base featuring moss-covered stones, recreating the rugged landscape outside the gates of the Lonely Mountain. The dynamic poses of Dain and his mount infuse the scene with movement, highlighting the martial determination that defines this pivotal moment of the "Battle of the Five Armies."
