Smaug the Golden Bust

For centuries, Smaug slumbered deep beneath the Lonely Mountain atop the stolen treasures of Erebor. In the darkness, the dragon and his hoard merged into one. Smaug became the embodiment of greed, his scales reflecting the gleam of the gold that obsessed him.

Weta Collectibles presents the fire-drake as a bust standing approximately 36 cm tall in the "Smaug the Golden" edition. The scales and skin feature a special metallic foil technique that gives the surface a shimmering golden luster, creating the impression that Smaug has fused with the treasures of Erebor over countless years.

The eyes and mouth retain an organic appearance, contrasting with the metallic finish and evoking the sense of a living creature beneath the golden exterior.

Limited to 900 pieces, this bust preserves the intricate detail of the original sculpt while offering a striking new aesthetic. It can be displayed on a flat surface or mounted on a wall. For an alternative pose, the head can be rotated 180 degrees by loosening the screw, turning the head, and securing it back in place.
