The Goblin King Mini-Statue

Based on his portrayal in »The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey«, Wētā Workshop has created a polystone mini-statue of the Goblin King. The self-proclaimed ruler of the goblins dwelling in the caves beneath the Misty Mountains is depicted with his grotesque physique and imposing presence.

The statue was digitally sculpted by Daniel Holland. Intricate details capture the Goblin King’s sagging, unhealthy skin and unusual anatomy. Layers of paint featuring pale skin tones, bluish discolorations, and yellowish hues emphasize his disheveled, decaying appearance.

His distinctive features include a bone crown atop his misshapen head and a gnarled wooden staff topped with a cluster of skulls. Shrunken trophies hang from the staff, serving as grim reminders of his past victims. Beneath his feet lies a primitive wooden platform, held together by ropes and littered with bones.
