Faramir »Charge on Osgiliath« Statue

This dynamic statue depicts Faramir, Captain of Gondor, at full gallop as he leads the doomed assault on Osgiliath. With sword thrust forward and a determined expression, it captures the moment he commits himself and his men to the charge despite the hopeless odds.

Sculptor Gary Hunt gave Faramir particular attention, whose character arc stands among the trilogy's most compelling. The statue conveys both his courage and his tragic loyalty to a father whose recognition he can never earn.

The horse was a long-awaited project for Hunt. After more than 20 years, he finally had the opportunity to sculpt one in 1:6 scale. Extensive studies of equine anatomy and movement bring a convincing sense of power, speed, and grace, while Faramir's pose, armour, and likeness were carefully refined to complement the dynamic composition.

Limited to just 860 pieces, this statue combines exceptional detail with powerful movement – a tribute to Faramir's courage, sense of duty, and unwavering resolve: doomed, yet unbroken.
