Baylan Skoll ist ein Lichtschwert-schwingender Söldner, der seinen Lehrling Shin Hati beaufsichtigt. Aber täuscht Euch nicht: Obwohl es eine Zeit gab, in der Skoll den gefeierten Jedi-Ritter Anakin Skywalker kannte, ist Baylan kein Jedi. Nach dem Fall der Jedi und des Imperiums ist Skoll nun mit Morgan Elsbeth, der ehemaligen Magistratin von Calodan, verbündet und bleibt ein kluger Kämpfer auf der Suche nach Macht, der er glaubt, dass ein weiterer Krieg unvermeidlich ist.
