a warm HELLO on the S.P.A.C.E website! We especially welcome the collectors among you who haven't found their way here yet ;). We not only appreciate your visit, but also the time you take for our thoughts and ideas below - especially since many of you are probably not in the best mood...
Anyone who landed on this landing page - which was set up specifically for certain TOY PALACE customers - not only received this link from Marco Russe from TOY PALACE, but also advance information, which we would like to explain in more detail from our point of view here. We do this not only because transparency and good communication are the basis of our philosophy, but because we think that many of you carry around a high level of frustration, impatience and mistrust. We would like to fix this - together!
Before we take you into our offer of assistance in detail, we want to make it clear at the beginning that S.P.A.C.E and TOY PALACE are and will remain two independent companies. At this point, we at S.P.A.C.E are getting involved in certain problems voluntarily, in a supportive and solution-oriented manner - and of course only with the permission of each affected customer.
Please let us elaborate a bit before we get to the essence:
Each of us has probably felt in our own personal way that the world has been slipping from one state of emergency to the next for almost 5 years. Some people were able to cope with things more easily, while others were hit harder. Of course, things like a pandemic, a constantly extremely fluctuating euro exchange rate, rising inflation, piracy in the Suez Canal or, of course, especially in the worst case scenario, wars, at the end of a chain of dramas also have an impact on more banal topics such as our collecting hobby.
There were also some incidents at dealer and distributor level in our industry - especially in Germany. What we at S.P.A.C.E have recently observed when looking out of the virtual window was, on the one hand, dramatic and frightening, but on the other hand, some things were also very annoying - especially in the interests of the customers, in the interests of the collectors, in your interest! Especially in the last two years, many collectors, or more precisely new customers, have come to us with horror stories that they have experienced from competitors. We were told about deposits or pre-payments being lost without ever being delivered with any product. Dealers can't get the goods at all, dealers no longer react and so on... All things that shouldn't happen like that and, to be honest, all things that are not only far from our mindset at S.P.A.C.E, but which, in our opinion, are also a no-go for are such an emotionally charged and expensive hobby.
As you have noticed, dear TOY PALACE customers, the last few months in particular have unfortunately been difficult and extremely challenging for Marco Russe and his Toy Palace GmbH. In an information newsletter in October 2023, Marco explained that Toy Palace GmbH plans to withdraw after more than 25 years of loyal service in the German and global collectors market and to cease its current business activities at the end of 2024. Appropriate plans were made and goals were set - but - as we all know: sometimes things 1. often turn out differently and 2. than you think... And when external circumstances then coincide with personal problems, unfortunately it can not only be unplanned, but also a matter of course can also unintentionally lead to a lot of throwbacks.
So it unfortunately happened that TOY PALACE was basically unavailable, especially in the last few months, was unable to deliver pre-orders and was unable to offer any other service. For us as observers of this situation and fellow competitors who have always seen TOY PALACE as an absolutely reputable retailer on an equal footing over the years, the scenario was bitter - of course also in the interests of the affected TOY PALACE customers.
Marco (founder and managing director of TOY PALACE) approached Sven (founder and owner of S.P.A.C.E) and asked for help in this unpleasant situation because - and we at S.P.A.C.E can absolutely agree with this - despite all the bitterness of the situation and the problems that had arisen in the last few months, Marco Russe and his team certainly didn't want to intentionally leave anyone out in the cold or even intentionally rip them off.
Sven and Marco brainstormed for a long time and, in addition to a few other ideas, as a first step they agreed on the following assistance from S.P.A.C.E for TOY PALACE customers who have made any pre- or down-payment:
As one of the options that TOY PALACE offers its customers to regulate deposits or advance payments made, S.P.A.C.E will, after review and consultation, create a credit coupon for space-figuren.de in the amount of the respective deposit or advance payment - if the affected customer decides to do so. This ensures that 1. the payment made is not lost under any circumstances and 2. you have a good selection of products - both in stock and pre-order items - for which you can redeem your coupon.
If you are looking for one or more specific items that, for example, TOY PALACE unfortunately could not deliver, please contact us. Even if a collectible is no longer available in the shop, with luck we may still be able to get the item you want. We try to help with that too!
Of course, we will support you in grooving into our shop and will be there to answer your questions. Please note, however: S.P.A.C.E has neither access to the TOY PALACE customer database nor to the TOY PALACE inventory. Of course, both companies are and will remain self-sufficient - as mentioned, this campaign is about assistance and not a merger or something similar. A cash payout of the created coupon or credit is of course not possible.
A properly created customer account in our shop is required to receive and use a coupon. So please create an account when you get the chance - if you don't already have one. The coupon(s) will be sent out by email to the affected customers as quickly as possible and can be used directly. Important: our shop is only able toprocess 1 coupon per order and we can only issue the 10% bonus in a separate coupon. Therefore at least 2 orders will be necessary. It is also not possible to apply the transfer of the deposit(s) or the coupons retroactively to already existing (pre-)orders with us - the coupons can only be applied to new orders.
